You are one step away from being a part of the Blade Runner Ultra marathon, a pilgrimage across the mountains scored in the heart of every SAS soldier, and one of the finest ultra- marathons in the UK. The greatest enemy of success is actually failing to turn up and make the start line, which many do. You have our commitment to make your Blade Runner experience a triumph, the odds are in your favour, history tells us as much.

POST MARCH MEAL

Your entry comes with a complimentary post march hot meal and cold drinks. Tickets issued with race numbers at base camp along with a free Blade Runner gift item. Hot food and drinks supplied at strategic checkpoints throughout the course. Special edition cloth patch for all finishers.

MOUNTAIN SAFETY

Your registration fee supports the UK’s first and only independent internal event mountain rescue team, complete with the highest grade of medical care and a dedicated patron radio network. AEE invest heavily in assets and personnel so that we can respond at speed to any emergency scenario. This allows us to deliver an authentic, concession free and unrivalled ultra-marathon event befitting of the original SAS test.

EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY

We don’t charge you for event images. All athletes will have complimentary access to a digital Jacob’s Ladder mountain summit and finish line photograph.

PRE-EVENT SUPPORT

All registered athletes will receive a series of email information packs put together with uncompromising attention to detail and verve. They will cover all matters Blade Runner and will include but not be limited to:

  • *Clothing & equipment check lists
  • *SAS Selection & finisher’s patch history & story
  • *Access to radio group
  • *Blade Runner familiarisation day
  • *Access and discounts to DS led training days across the UK

LAND USE PERMITS

Your registration fee covers land use permits which also at the present time includes free event parking.

GROUP BOOKINGS & MILITARY DICOUNTS

Group bookings/team entries can qualify for individual rate discounts and team leader guest places. Current serving and former UK military and current serving Emergency Services are also eligible for discounts. Contact the Base Camp team for further instructions.

If you pay for someone else, please make sure you leave an explanatory note on Paypal or message box on the next page. Before proceeding you should be aware that there are no transfers to other events and there will be no refunds. The option for a second stage of the Summer Edition Blade Runner may be added subject to interest levels

INJURED VETERANS & CHALLENGED ATHELETES CATEGORY

Both the Summer & Winter Fan Dance have an injured veterans & Challenged Athletes Category. The fee for Clean Fatigue and Load Bearing is set at £40 and 100% of proceeds will be donated to Combat Stress and other military charities soon to be announced. All registrations must be directed to for careful mountain safety assessment.
