Terms and Conditions (to be agreed on completion of booking)

This event by its very nature is hazardous and contains certain inherent risks. The race is run over land to which the public has free access and over which we the race organisers have no control and which is subject to normal hazards to be expected on such a trail, e.g. partially or fully exposed tree roots, overhanging branches, loose rocks on or around footpaths, non participants, dogs etc. Participants are responsible for their own safety. It is the participant's responsibility to ensure that they are physically capable to start an event of this distance and terrain. Participants should contact their own doctor if they are uncertain on this point.

By agreeing to these conditions the participant accepts that they enter this event at their own risk and accept that the event organisers and their employees are not liable for any loss, damage claim, expense, injury or accidents which may arise as a consequence of the participant's negligence in this event. Participants agree to run with care and attention, abiding by the rules of the event. Participants agree to attend the compulsory briefing for all competitors which the event organiser will give prior to the start of each day/event.

I understand that participating in this event is potentially hazardous, and that I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. If you have any doubt about your medical condition you must consult a doctor. If you are over 50 years of age we recommend you consult a doctor before competing In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I assume full and complete responsibility for any injury or accident which may occur while I am travelling to or from the event, during the event, or while I am on the premises of the event. I also am aware of and assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, effect of weather, traffic, and conditions of the road. I, for myself and my heirs and executors, hereby waive, release and forever discharge the event organizers, sponsors, promoters, The Fan Dance Race Series / Avalanche Endurance Events Ltd and each of their agents, representatives, successors and assigns, and all other persons associated with the event, for all my liabilities, claims, actions, or damages that I may have against them arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in this event. I understand that this waiver includes any claims, whether caused by negligence, the action or inaction of any of the above parties, or otherwise.

Media Release

I here by grant full permission to any and all of the above parties to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, website images, recordings or any other record of this event.

Age Limits

Normal age limits will be, over 16 years and under 75 years

Participant Cancellation Policy

Single Events

There will be no refunds in any event/race organised by Avalanche Endurance Events.

Modification of the course

The organisation reserves the right to modify at any moment the route. In the case of unfavourable weather conditions the start may be postponed by a maximum three hours, after that time, the race maybe shortened or cancelled. In the case of severe weather conditions, and for reasons of safety, the organisation reserves the right to stop the event under-way

Event Cancellation Policy

In case of cancellation of an event, for whatever reason, the race will be postponed and an alternative date assigned. The postponed date may involve a transfer to the follow up winter/summer edition of the race if a workable date in-between is unworkable for the organisers. If the event is cancelled with no alternative date a partial refund will be given. The amount of this refund will be fixed so as to allow the organisation to cover all irredeemable expenses committed, up to the date of the cancellation. In case of a cancellation decided less than 15 days before the departure or in case of interruption of the race, for whatever the reason, no refund of the registration fee will be made. However, in all such instances a new date will be assigned.

Event Patron Withdrawal Policy

If you withdraw from the event for any reason no refund will be given nor transfer to a follow up event. This is to protect the next event and future editions. This is a military grade endurance event under which we have applied a strict cap on numbers for mountain safety reasons,for your safety, thus limiting the funding each edition is able to achieve. A portion of your registration fee extends beyond your race day entry ticket, it also purchases access to a series of email information packs assembled by military and medical subject matter experts, which you are required to read. The organisers may allow a transfer to a follow up edition under extraordinary circumstances, such as for example; sudden military deployment, emergency services crisis.
